Because she needed this immediately, we purchased the $30.00 gas card for her. We are asking help with the cost of the gas card. My Neighbor in Need - Elderly Couple with severe medical issues and limited mobility are in immediate need of a set of stairs with handrails and a small landing for their 30+ year old trailer home so they can get out safely. In addition, they need to replace a entry/exit door that is so old that it leaks and does not seal properly. Their current stairs are not safe for anyone to use and thus this couple is almost held hostage in their own home. Our Good Deed Doer, Jay Honey Do is able to remove their old stairs and the leaking door and build them a new set of weather proof stairs with railings and a landing large enough for both of them to stand on, as well as install a new door. Even with the huge increase in the costs of lumber and other materials, Jay was able to do both jobs for a discounted price of $1,645 and the couple was able to pay $400 towards getting the jobs completed. In addition, another $600 was provided from funds we received from the Hampton-Collins Memorial Trust fund. Now all we need is help with the balance of $645 and they will have their need completed. My Neighbor in Need - UPDATE: SEE BELOW...Very Hardworking Husband and Father is in need of some assistance with a car repair. Although he has a good full-time job he has had a run of bad luck and timing over the past month and now he is facing a critical car repair so he can continue getting to and from his employer. We verified his license, registration and insurance. Our friends at Carnahan's Auto Repair are able to repair his car for a deeply discounted price of $534.58 and he is able to scrape together $135 towards the repair however, he is in need of help with the balance of $399.58. UPDATE: WE HAVE A GENEROUS DONOR OF $150 TOWARD THIS NEED, SO WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BALANCE OF $249.58. You are not required to provide all of the needed amount. Neighbor in need- Man is in need of food for his dogs and cats. We were able to fulfill this need with our Pet Food Pantry. Thank You!
