My Neighbor in Need- UPDATE SEE BELOW: Elderly lady on a limited income, is in need of safety hand rails to get out her front door door and down her exterior stairs. Our friends at Jack of all Trades Handyman can get provide and install a new railing system for the discounted price of $553.32. The Neighbor in Need was able to provide $150. However, she needs help with the remailing balance of $403. UPDATE: WE HAVE A CARING DONOR WHO PROVIDED $50 TOWARDS THIS NEED. THEREFORE, WE NOW NEED HELP WITH THE BALANCE OF $353. My Neighbor in Need- UPDATE SEE BELOW: Fully disabled wheelchair bound gentleman, uses an exterior lift system to transfer him from his side area on to the ground. The problem is that due to his numerous medical issues he requires caretakers and medical professionals to provide treatment inside his home. However, there is no safe access on to his small front porch. Currently, each time he is to receive treatment the providers have to try and step on to a metal bucket, then pull themselves on to the porch while crawling on their stomachs. Some providers are older and do not have the ability to do this anymore so he is in possible risk of not receiving all of the treatment needed. In addition, if there was a fire or medical emergency there is no safe way to remove him quickly from the house. He is in great need of landing with stairs, hand railings and a safety front door. Our friends at Jack of all Trades Handyman are able to provide and install everything that is needed at the discounted price of $1362.96. The Neighbor in Need is able to pay $362.96 through three monthly payments leaving the balance of $1,000. Normally we are unable to take on such a large financial need request but he has extremely low fixed income and no family that can provide assistance. Therefore, we are asking for help with the balance. UPDATE: WE HAVE RECEIVED SUPPORT FROM FIVE DONORS WHO HAVE PROVIDED A TOTAL OF $420 TOWARDS THIS NEED. THEREFORE, WE ARE ASKING FOR HELP WITH THE REMAINING BALANCE OF $580. You are not required to provide all of the needed amount. Rather, just tell us how much you wish to contribute towards his need and once we receive the balance, we can get his need fulfilled. We verified her drivers license, registration, and insurance. Because she needed this immediately, we purchased the $30.00 gas card for her. We are asking help with the cost of the gas card.
