Pay It Forward
My Neighbor in Need believes in the Pay It Forward System. When an individual receives help through My Neighbor in Need, an anonymous donor has volunteered to assist that person through some type of donation. So, once an individual has received help from My Neighbor in Need, it is expected that he/she will “pay it forward”. Unless a waiver is granted by the Executive Director, a pay it forward will be required for individuals receiving help through My Neighbor in Need after the first need has been fulfilled (not including the Pet Food Pantry).
- Fulfill a need request from either the My Neighbor in Need or My Student in Need websites.
- Donate time, volunteer, in the community.
- Donate time, volunteer, for My Neighbor in Need – this option is open at the discretion of staff at My Neighbor in Need. We encourage Neighbor’s in Need to get out into the community to “pay it forward”.
- Donate nonperishable food items that will be given to the Community Food Bank.
