My Neighbor in Need- Young woman on limited income needs bed to sleep on. Sleeping on an old mattress on floor at present time. Needs a full or queen bed set either new or gently used. Neighbor in need- UPDATE SEE BELOW: Hard-working Veteran on limited income in need of vehicle repair. His job requires him to have reliable vehicle, and at this time it will not start. Anonymous donor has pledged $25.00 toward making this possible. American Garage will determine what repairs are necessary and provide an estimate. Will update when this is done. UPDATE: American Garage has agreed to provide repairs for a discounted rate of $350. With the donated $25.00 cash and a donated $50.00 Chinook Chamber bucks certificate, this leaves a balance of $275.UPDATE: With a further adjustment in the bill and another generous donation of $100, this leaves a balance of $164.95. Neighbor in Need- couple living on disability recently moved and in need of household items. They have been given beds,table and chairs and eating utensils. Would appreciate other household items including baking pans and pictures on the wall to make it a home. Greatest needs are a couch and dresser at this time. My Neighbor in Need- Young woman living on very limited income requesting food to get by until she secures full time employment. She has met very hard times, but is now hopeful that through lots of effort and a positive attitude she can turn things around. If you could help with food for her, MNIN has a credit account established at Finley's Food Farm.UPDATE: MNIN was able to give her food to tide her over due to a previous generous donor to the Finley Food Farm account. Disabled man recently moved and is in need of furnishings for apartment. Needs include a full or queen size bed, table and chairs and living room furniture. He also has no washer or dryer.UPDATE:Now he has available living room furniture. He is sleeping on sofa so still in need of full or queen bed, table and chairs and washer and dryer. My Neighbor in Need has the bed, chairs and washer previously donated by generous neighbors. He is still in need of TABLE and DRYER. Neighbor in need- young couple with 2 small children, on limited income, moving to chinook, they are requesting used/working washer and dryer. They do not need to be new. Neighbor in Need - A Family of three has met with very hard times. Head of household is disabled and cannot work. They are living on some disability and social security benefits plus food stamps. In addition, their young teenager also has part time job to help the family survive. They just simply cannot afford to purchase furniture and kitchen items. Thanks to some very generous donors, My Neighbor in Need was able to supply the furniture however they are still in need of dishes and silverware. New or gently used is wonderful. Neighbor in need- A retired senior citizen on a limited fixed income is in need of auto repair. He is simply unable to afford the repairs just to make it safe to drive. My Neighbor in Need was able to assist him with the repair of his turn signals and windshield wipers. He has been very thankful. Many thanks to American Garage and an anonymous donor for making this happen! Now he has an appointment with Precision Auto Body to repair his headlight. They have generously offered to do this at a negotiated discounted rate of $350.00. If you could help with this, please pay Precision Auto Body directly either all or a portion of this amount. Neighbor in need- Retired Senior Citizen on limited fixed income is in need of auto repair. He simply cannot afford the repairs needed just to make the auto safe to drive. The initial electrical cost to fix the windshield wipers and turn signals is $101.49. My neighbor in need then plans to assist him with getting a reduced rate to replace a headlight. If you can help this man, please pay American Garage either all or a portion of the $101.49. This will literally be the beginning of getting him "on the road" to having safe transportation. Neighbor in need- Hard working couple with two children very recently had situation requiring them to leave present home and find housing. Former home became uninhabitable and most of furnishings damaged. Family member requests any furnishings available, but specifically a bed as they are presently sleeping on cushions on the floor. Neighbor in Need - UPDATE SEE BELOW: A large hard working family recently experienced extensive home damage. Insurance will cover some structural costs. However, they are in immediate need of beds and dressers for children--insurance will not cover these costs. If you have any of the following gently used items you would like to donate please call MNIN: two twin mattresses without box springs, one double mattress with box springs, or two dressers. Or they can be purchased at Valley Furniture at a discounted price. UPDATE: Two anonymous donors have pledged to purchase one twin mattress each at Valley Furniture. Thank you very much! FURTHER UPDATE: A generous donor purchased a double mattress and box spring at a discounted price from Valley Furniture. All mattresses and the box spring were delivered by Valley Furniture.Thank you donors and Valley! Now we are still in need of two dressers. Mother requests table and chairs and bed. Moved to Blaine County and just got a job in Chinook. Having a hard time getting caught up. They eat in living room, young child has to put food on a box for a table. Can't afford furniture right now.
