My Neighbor in Need- Unemployed man, recently became homeless and is in need of a bus pass as he isn't able to walk long distances to to frigid temperatures. A monthly bus pass costs $30 from the Great falls Transit office. My Neighbor in Need- Disabled Husband and his Wife, are in great need of emergency shelter for two nights. He will receive his disability payment on to his card at midnight on March 3rd and they can pay their own bill after that. Due to having a service dog, they were not able to stay at the family center or at the men's or woman's shelters. The Great Falls Inn was able to provide them with a handicapped room for two nights for the discounted price of $144.40. We were able to verify their situation and deemed this was an immediate need. Therefore, we paid the cost for the two nights. Now we are asking for help from the community to reimburse My Neighbor in Need the cost of $144.40 so we can be ready to fulfill the next immediate need request. GREAT NEWS... WE RECEIVED A GENEROUS DONATION OF $40 TOWARDS THIS NEED, LEAVING A BALANCE OF $104.40. My Neighbor in need- UPDATE: SEE BELOW.... Unemployed single father, is in need of crucial repairs to his trailer furnace. He was let go from a job due to Covid19 and he has no income at this time. Because of the pending cold weather, we deemed this an immediate need. Therefore, we had McDonald Heating go to his residence and make the needed repairs for a discounted price of $337. The Neighbor in Need was able to pay $50 towards his need but he needs help with the balance of $287. UPDATE:WE HAVE A KIND DONOR WHO WAS ABLE TO PAY $100 TOWARDS THIS NEED. My Neighbor in Need- Unemployed lady, who recently lost her job, is in need of a gas card to seek work. We verified her drivers license, registration, and insurance. Because she needed this immediately, we purchased the $30.00 gas card for her. We are asking help with the cost of the gas card. If you can help, you are asked to make any donation up to $30 to My Neighbor in Need and we will buy another $30 "Gas Only" card on your behalf so we are ready to help fulfill the next Immediate Need.
