My Neighbor in Need - UPDATE SEE BELOW: Starting over... Hardworking lady has found a place to call home and is in need of a few things. She has no furniture and will be sleeping on the cold floor. She does work but it is part time and for low wages. She needs a used/clean full or queen size sleep system (mattress and box spring), a simple kitchen table and a couple of chairs and a used/working vacuum cleaner. UPDATE: A CARING DONOR CALLED AND IS BRINGING IN THE NEEDED VACUUM CLEANER. My Neighbor in Need - A man with medical issues, receiving only $800 per month in disability, is in need of $30 in gas to get to a specialist outside of Great Falls. We verified his driver's license, car registration and insurance. If he did not keep his doctor appointment, he would have been placed back into the list and it would have been weeks before the next possible appointment. Therefore, we provided him with a $30 "Gas Only" gift card so he could make his appointment. Now we are asking help with the cost of the gas card. If you can help, you are asked to make a donation of $30 to My Neighbor in Need and we will buy another $30 "Gas Only" card on your behalf so we are ready to help fulfill the next Immediate Need. My Neighbor in Need / My Student in Need, WOW!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU - THANKS TO ALL OF THE DONORS WHO ANSWERED THE CALL FOR HELP!! $1,800 IS NOW DEDICATED TO THIS NEED, THEREFORE THE KIDS WILL GET EVEN MORE FOOD FOR THE BREAK!!! ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON ALL OF THE GIFT BAGS LOADED WITH FOOD WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE STUDENTS. THANK YOU ALL! IMMEDIATE NEED - 90 school children are in need of supplemental food for the Christmas break. These children live in and attend school in an outlying area of Cascade County. We were contacted by a concerned parent and we have confirmed this hard-breaking need. With their school not being open during the holidays, 90 of the children who attend this school are facing food shortages during the Christmas break. Therefore, we are asking for help from anyone and everyone! We have a Good Deed Doer who has offered to go to Sam's Club this week and purchase nutritious snacks, fruits and non-perishable food items and then place them into 90, individual bags so they can be given out at the school THIS WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 20th. Several other non-profit organizations were called by the Good Deed Doer and none could provide assistance. So, My Neighbor in Need/My Student in Need said YES!!! We have dedicated $10 per child, so we are asking for donations of any amount up to $900 and every penny will be used to buy the needed food. UPDATE: OUR GREAT FRIENDS AT PEO CHAPTER AR, HAVE MADE A SIGNIFICANT DONATION TO HELP OUR STUDENTS IN NEED. WE ARE DEDICATING $500 OF THEIR KINDNESS TOWARDS THIS NEED. THEN A CARING DONOR WALKED INTO OUR OFFICE AND PAID $100 MORE, THEREFORE, WE ONLY NEED $300 MORE AND ALL 90 KIDS WILL GET FOOD FOR THE SCHOOL BREAK. Neighbor In Need- Disabled mother of 4, is in need of 3 gently used/clean Twin Bed Systems (mattresses and box springs). We called local non-profit organizations and no one has the needed twin beds. Conlin's Furniture can provide a new Twin-size bed system for a discounted price of $170. If you would like to help with this need you can either donate a gently used/clean Twin-size Bed System or you can make a donation of any amount up to $510 to My Neighbor in Need and we will purchase 3 NEW Twin-size Bed System and Conlin's Furniture will deliver it for free. My Neighbor in Need - Your local, Good Deed Doer organization is in need of help with obtaining cat food for our Free, Pet Food Pantry. We ran out a week ago and have been forced to buy it so our furry friends in need do not go without. If you can help, you can either drop off cat food (wet or dry) to our office at 525 Central Ave - inside Times Square or you can make a financial donation of any amount and we will buy the needed cat food. We would like to thank all of the donors who dropped of cat food Monday. You Rock! Unfortunately, since it is near the end of the month, we were inundated with requests for cat food and have already given out what we received on Monday. We are in need of cat food. My Neighbor In Need - UPDATE SEE BELOW: Disabled man and his wife, who has been diagnosed with an "at risk pregnancy" are in need of a gently used/clean or new Queen Bed System complete (mattress, box spring and frame). They are sleeping on a futon mattress placed directly on the cold floor. He does have a job but it for low wages. She is unable to work due to her medical condition. They recently moved to Great Falls and they used up all of their savings getting into a place to live. If you would like to help with this need you can either donate any part of a gently used/clean Queen Bed System or you can make a donation of any amount up to $290 to My Neighbor in Need and we will purchase a NEW Queen Bed System. UPDATE: WE HAD 2 CARING DONORs SEND IN $150. Thank you kind donor! Therefore, we only need $140 more and this couple can get off the floor. You are not required to provide all of the needed amount. My Neighbor in Need - UPDATE SEE BELOW: Senior couple in great need of a wheelchair ramp. Husband is a disabled veteran and his wife has medical conditions that now require her to use a wheelchair. Without a wheelchair ramp, she is confined to the house. Our friends at All About Mobility can purchase and install the perfect ramp for a discounted price of $4,000 and we already have two amazing organizations who have pledged to pay all but $1,000 of the cost. Thank you to the caring organizations! The couple in need live on a low, fixed income and with all of the costs associated with the medical issues, they simply cannot pay the balance of $1,000. Therefore, we are asking for help from our generous and loving community. We are seeking help with the balance of $1,000. UPDATE - four kind donors came in and paid $50 each towards the purchase of the ramp. Then, another three donors offered to provide a total of $300 and then a kind donor pledged $10. Thank you to all of you!!! Therefore, we are asking for help with the balance of $340. You are not required to pay all of the needed amount. Rather, tell us how much you wish to contribute.
